Safe Behavior Management

Without effective behavior management skills, staff, volunteers, and foster parents sometimes resort to unauthorized or abusive practices in an effort to deal with problem behaviors. In this workshop, participants learn safe behavior management practices to address noncompliance, verbal and physical aggression, inappropriate language, and other common behavior problems. They also learn how to manage their own stress, when to seek help from colleagues, and when to recognize their own limits to stressful situations. The workshop also includes demonstrations and role play of the top ten problem behaviors that confront the personnel in your organization.
