Monitoring and Supervision for Effective Risk Management

This seminar teaches participants how to use planned and spontaneous direct observations, written surveys, electronic surveillance, random spot checks, anonymous reports, telephone hot lines, and standardized checklists to ensure program safety. They learn how to develop monitoring plans based on the degree of risk presented by specific programs, including high-risk programs that involve overnight stays, youth perpetrators, multiple youth, and shared bedroom and bathroom arrangements.
